Annuities offer more benefits and advantages compared to other savings and investment methods. Annuities come in many different flavors: Fixed Annuities, Income For Life, Immediate, Split, Income For A Certain Period, and Equity Indexed Annuities (EIAs) are some of the most popular.

A Fixed Annuity is much like a Bank CD in that you deposit a fixed amount of money into an account for a predetermined amount of time and earn a guaranteed rate of return.

A Bonus Fixed Annuity can credit your account, depending on the Annuity type, with a 5% or 10% bonus on your deposited funds. For example, if you deposited $50,000 into a bonus annuity account you would be credited with $5,000 (10% bonus type annuity). You would begin with $55,000 plus a guaranteed rate of return for the first year. Deposit $100,000 and receive a $10,000 cash bonus in your account. Interest and principal is paid to you on the $110,000 amount when your Annuity matures (annuitization).

CDs, Mutual Funds, Stocks, and Bonds require that you “cash” them in to withdraw or access your savings. If you need emergency funds from your CD then you must cash in the CD and pay an early withdrawal penalty. Annuities can be structured to allow you to withdraw up to 50% of your account without penalties. Whether you need cash for unexpected emergencies such as Nursing Home care, Disability, or just want to take a Caribbean cruise you have direct access to your savings with Annuities.
